About Us

We are a relatively new stud and established ourselves in late 2004. Our stud is located in the beautiful area of One Tree Hill in South Australia which itself has new wineries such as Uleybury & Tenefeate wines and is only 30 minutes away from the famous Barossa Valley.

We established our breeding stock with a wonderful pony stallion Dresden Three Cheers(Fred) a liver chestnut, A Group Australian Stud Saddle Pony(ASSPS) who has 56.25% Arab blood. He has been put over three of our mares, a B Group ASSPS, a 50% Arab mare and our pure bred Arabian mare. Fred has been sold and resides in a lovely new home.

Currently we're running on ourBuckskin yearlng derivative colt Treebrook Starbuck, the first foal born on the property. He carries the palomino gene and should produce some good dilutes. He is an extremely well constructed colt with excellent front and rear, a wonderful arch and length of neck and 3 easy free flowing paces. Starbuck will be open to stud in the near future.

Our aim is to breed a pony or horse with a calm disposition maintaining the beautiful Arab head and movement, also with correct conformation, good feet and legs. Making a great pony for a child or any rider of any discipline.

As to us, Donna has been involved with showing Miniature Schnauzers and Bullmastiffs and assisting with the breeding of Bullmastiffs since 1985, she rode and owned 3 horses as a teenager and moved away from the land and therefore from the horses.

She now has the job of teaching Stuart the ins and outs of horsemanship which as we all know is a never ending learning lesson for us all. Donna also paints dog portraits on glassware, Donna Colette's Studio.
